And there huge and stuffed For a good tamale that’s about the right price. Before my dad passed, our family tradition in the fall was to make real green corn tamales. Homemade ground white corn masa, roasted, skinned and seeded green chile and cheese. For the work involved, I’d have to get $60 a dozen. I mean just to grind and make the masa was a ton of work! 5

But man, $5 each seems steep. I've never seen the tamale shop that someone mentioned. My crappy googlefu shows Cave Creek??

I personally just don’t think they’re worth it either way. That’s all. Rather have a taco. But that’s just me. we got some in rocky point a few months ago, trash. my captain in puerto lobos family makes shrimp tamales, really good.
Lucafu1 Report post Posted December 18 Yeah there is no way I would pay that. I just put in an order with the wife. Extra meat, 2-3 seadless olives. Sometimes a Jalapeño slice.
dutchmanazA1 Report post Posted December 18 I can't see paying $5 each either. I understand the work that goes into them and the cost of ingredients have risen but I don't like them that much. No offense to anyone

Boarman03 Report post Posted December 18 2 hours ago, NOTAGS said: They making tamales out of tick meat? Funny until you or someone you know gets sick. To buy the food you have to be near the person or they may have coughed on the food or sweat on the food. Proper food handling is not as well understood or stringent. But hey, you're Superman and nothing can hurt you? I got sick in a foreign country and I was around cleaner establishments. There are many ways illnesses are passed along. By the way, is your neighbors cat or dog missing?

Curtis Reed Report post Posted Sunday at 03:30 PM the pork shop in QC sells handmade tamales that look good but haven’t tried them. i’ll stop by today and pick some up and report back. All their stuff is usually really good. no, they aren’t cheap ($15/6) but i’ll try them anyway. I’m definately not a tamale connoisseur 🤣
