FS Remington 700 VS 243 with Leupold 12x

Recommended Posts

Here's another of my friend's items.  A really nice Remington 700 varmint synthetic in 243.  It has a Leupold fixed 12x with AO.  I believe the stock is the factory stock made by Brown Precision.  I remember when he bought it and I believe there was something special about how he ordered it from Remington but no documentation remains and he doesn't remember.   It's a very fine condition gun.  I thought he bought this in the late 1980s but, if I'm reading the barrel date code correctly, it might be 1994.  $1000.  Located south Tempe area

Scooter the stock is an HS Precision that Remingtin used on their varmint rifles after they switched over from the walnut BDL stock. They then went to a matte finish on the metal using the HS stock. Awesome rifles.

Of course, you're right.   I mixed the two names up

The owner of this rifle was a meticulous reloader.  He loaded stuff for me on several occasions and he was as good a reloader as ive ever met. As an added bonus, there are around 400 rounds of reloads worked up gor this gun that are included.  I'll get an exact count but there are a lot.

Looks like 427 rounds plus a few empties
