theres no evidence that shows collagen protein increases connective tissue protein synthesis. its been proven whey protein increases skeletal muscle protein synthesis and connective tissue protein synthesis more than collagen protein. in fact vegetable protein like pea protein increases them more than collagen protein. many people however report feeling/looking better taking it, so even if its placebo effect if it makes you feel better whats the difference continue eating it. carry on

My doctor suggested it.   I had no expectations.  All I can say is my knees no longer hurt and I can pull back my bow again after tearing two of the four muscles in my rotator cuff.  Possibly the placebo effect, but I like the results.
