It's ok, you're just uneducated. 100% it will not be in a few years. Lots of ducks and quail will always be hunted with dogs.
Mattman215 Report post Posted Monday at 04:18 AM I suppose time will tell, just because I don’t agree with your opinion you start throwing a tantrum, this is the very reason I know one day lion and bear hunting with hounds will be outlawed like many other states! But enjoy your name calling, it warms my soul ! im sure your dogs can chase a frisbee of something though, cheers !
Sky Island junkie Report post Posted Monday at 04:30 AM I’ve killed 3 lions in my home range and not behind dogs. I’ve been invited by the 2 hounds men I know to go on pursuits but I’ve declined because I’m honestly afraid I’ll fall out of the saddle in the wicked country they go after them in. I just wish they’d kill more of what they catch rather than play with them!
Coues247 Report post Posted Monday at 04:43 AM 3 hours ago, EarlyBronco said: Don’t get your parties in a wad, I never said it wasn’t hard to train a dog, or they don’t work hard, I am saying it is a complete joke for a HUNTER to walk up and shoot an animal that’s scared for its life 20 yards away while 10 dogs have it in a tree, and your right I couldn’t catch a lion in a Zoo and I’d never try catching a lion or bear in any scenario , there’s soo many people that buy those hunts , walk over there where the animals are treed and shoot it just to take a picture and ACT like they did something, I know of a few people that do it, and they have admitted that’s exactly how the hunt went , that’s why I have such a strong opinion on it Where you are wrong and shows you don't know what you're talking about is you think these animals are scared for their lives. I've seen lions and bears falling asleep up in the tree with dogs barking below them. They have no idea they are in any danger and they get shot and die 5 seconds later. You can disagree with it but don't act like you know anything about it. It is by far the most productive way to keep lions and bears in check so if it is banned don't cry about not having as many deer or elk to hunt.

Oh so they don’t run up a tree with 10 dogs chasing after them cuz they’re not scared? Ok lol I guess you asked a lion and it told you , and like I said i don’t know anything about it, never said I did, I said I don’t like it and I stand by that

You forget animals don't think like humans and have no concept of being scared to death. They understand that an annoying dog is chasing them and they'd like to get away from it by climbing a tree but they aren't scared. If they were scared they wouldn't climb a branch and take a nap. I'm around annoying people all the time and I do what I can to get away from them but I'm not scared of them. Same concept.

Mattman215 Report post Posted Monday at 01:58 PM 9 hours ago, trphyhntr said: Why? Because I cannot stand all the hounds running through the mountains while I am glassing. None of your kind words will sway my mind but if it gets on the ballot I know how I am voting, I also know many other hunters who would vote the same. but your name calling has proven to be very effective……AZ will follow what many other states have already done. jdown Report post Posted Monday at 02:25 PM I don't want to see it banned - I get it's place in the ecosystem and generations of breeding and dedication but no one can convince me it is fair chase (regardless of the hours on the ranger circling points and then hiking in/keeping up with the pups) and if I had to be totally honest, i'd sway to yes on the wildlife harassment side too. The sad part is any difference of opinion here - you are automatically an idiot.. sounds leftish to me. It's ok to have a discussion and have an opinion. Alright - light me up lifted chevy guys!
