Lucafu1 Report post Posted Monday at 05:56 AM Looking for some options for game processing around 5B. Google says Casey's which I have heard about and also recommended before to hunters last year. I also see Coconino Game Processing. Any others I am missing? I only ask in case one or both fill up. Also, I have read about elk pack out services in unit 27. Anything like that for 5B? I always try and plan for the worst. My wife and daughter will be hunting and it will just be the 3 of us and I can see them shooting their first bulls at the same time in the worst spot :). Thanks! Crazymonkey Report post Posted Monday at 01:23 PM No idea on pack out but definitely Casey's for processing! There's always southwest but they only run trailers on select late hunts due to harvest numbers to low to justify. There usually at the gas station by lake Mary rd . You'd need to call and make sure first.
Coues&Coyotes Report post Posted Monday at 02:50 PM Another recommendation for Casey's processing. Feel free to PM me if you like to exchange numbers. I live in Flagstaff and always willing to lend a hand if someone needs it, especially if the weather turns bad and you find yourself in a sticky situation.

Viper Report post Posted Monday at 05:47 PM I was up there Friday and noticed the Southwest Processing semi-trailer and camper at Clint's Well. No activity at that time so... They are located in Queen Creek. I will be across the highway in 5a and a couple buds will be hunting 5b. We may be available to help depending on what's going on at the time.
Lucafu1 Report post Posted Monday at 05:51 PM Thanks. Same goes for us. We should be there all the way till the end of the hunt and if we can help lmk. We will be in a white rzr, big guy with two 4' 11" girls/women.
Redman Report post Posted Monday at 06:06 PM Southwest will have their trailer at Clint Wells (I called last week) , get a wood cutting permit and you can drive a quad to retrieve your elk, there are a lot of roads in 5B
Lucafu1 Report post Posted Monday at 06:24 PM Good tip. I thought you were allowed to retrieve game but I need to look into that. I haven't been in the area in 11 years so I am sure things are different.
firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted Monday at 08:55 PM Also for those that don't know, Southwest will deliver to Tucson and phoenix. They cut up my five people from a few years ago and I met them off the Marana exit in Tucson
Flashgun Report post Posted Monday at 09:31 PM Casey’s is always too notch. I would take a couple name options if I was you, as sometimes the processors won’t take more once there freezers hit full capacity in these late hunts… Carls custom meats in camp verde is an option as well. We just picked up a bull from there this weekend. They have done probably 6 or 7 critters for me and I have always been happy.

IA Born Report post Posted Monday at 09:51 PM Airborne son (dad was 173d in VN) to a paratrooper. Go to Casey's. If I wasn't already committed to helping a buddy who's helping a wounded warrior with Hero's Rising Outdoors, I'd definitely be there to help you pack out. I just want to have a plan in case stuff gets crazy HAHA. Hopefully it all works out and they can tag some bulls and we can get them over to Casey's. If not I got a lot of other recommendations from this post. Tell that Sky Soldier I appreciate his service. Ive always felt his area got the shaft. And thanks for helping out with the Hero's Rising Outdoors. Thats awesome. ATW!
