San Carlos Crappie

Recommended Posts

Hopefully you'll have better luck than the wife and I. Only 16 on Sat. and 2 yesterday. The wind was bad on Sun. Talked to quite a few fishermen and it was the same story from everyone. The story of my life when it comes to fishing. One guy said "should have been here last Wend. or Thurs. We boated 160 in just a few hours." :o

It's that time of year when it's on-again/off-again.

Good luck to everyone.

I fished Saturday. Two of us caught 25 total but it took about 9 hours - much slower than last week.

I went this morning and it was very slow, only got three in the boat. My dad did good on friday, but it was'nt good today, nobody else in the floatilla seemed to be catching them either.

Three of us went out on Saturday and caught about 60 or so. Sunday only a hand full for two of us. Seems they are moving. Just need to find them again. Probably heading toward the coves. Every thing on Saturday were full of eggs.

I was wondering if anyone has ever fished Talkalai Lake and is it good fishing? How big is it and are boats allowed? Does anyone know of any other good fishing lakes on the res. with bass and crappies as well?

Was just wondering since I bought a yearly permit and would like to check out some other spots. Thanks!

Uh oh!!!! Is this E-scouting? LOL

I fished Talkalai several time many years ago and caught quite a few big bass, crappie and cats. However, I'm pretty sure Talkalai is now either dry or has been recently.
