Do you even hunt? Nothing wrong with leaving a blind unattended.  Don't be a POS in life and steal others blinds.  Simple as that.  I do like the smart tag or air tag idea tho.....

I won't leave my blind on a tank. Heard to many of these stories. I prefer to break mine down and stash it somewhere close by in some bushes or by a fallen tree with some cover. Never had one found and stolen and have taken plenty of animals sitting some tanks.

My son had a unit 10 cow youth tag this year.  We hunted a particular water hole on and off for 3 days. There was a pop up blind on the water whole.  It had been there for some time.  Had lots of pine needs on top of it and it was pretty weathered.  I had mixed feeling about it.  We never used the blind but part of me wanted to take it down because it was in the best spot to sit and it sure looked to be abandoned, maybe from an archery hunter?  I  set my blind next to it.  Anyway, from the OP perspective his blind was stolen but maybe the person that took it was cleaning up the forest?  Or maybe a forest service person felt it was abandoned property?  Just trying to put a different perspective out there as these things can be touchy subjects.

I've not had a blind taken but I've had people  definitely  use one we had set up for a elk hunt . Found the guys hat inside  when I went  to pull it down . I've had plenty  of cameras  taken when we could  run them . Most were secured  to trees in lock boxes . I've made it a new habit  to run a heavy cable and lock thru the hubs and around  a tree . It won't  stop the dedicated thief  but it will  stop the opportunistic  . Two things  I hate most is a liar and a thief.  Try a post on Facebook  and see if anyone  knows  something.

I get (somewhat) the abandoned property argument that some make, or the don’t leave it up mindset, etc. it was there overnight then gone. Not for a month, a couple weeks, or even a few days. Funny thing is, my buddy had a blind on a tank a little further away for over a week, on a more heavily traveled road, in plain site. Wasn’t even touched. Oh well, things happen. Karma will be a bitch to whoever took it.
