On a serious note I use all Leupold mark5 3-18. that is about double your budget. honestly within your budget a vortex viper 2 would be fine some of the lower leupolds vx5 for example or possibly a used tango 6? I have had really bad luck in the military and with my dept with trijicon not holding zero. I have heard good things about arken but have never seen or used one. Forticsec Report post Posted November 20 I’ve been using a Leupold VX-3i 4.5-14x40 for coues hunting, and it’s worked pretty well for me without costing a ton. If you’re near Burnsville, there’s a Burnsville MN gun store where I’ve checked out some scopes before. It’s nice to actually see ’em in person and mess around with the settings before buying.
