codyhuntsaz Report post Posted November 8 Got some new GMRS radios and trying to learn how to use repeater towers for longer range use. I might as well be learning to speak Mandarin. I’m sure it’s easier if you’re tech savvy, I am not. Anyone have any advice or YouTube links that simplify it?

AZCoueser Report post Posted November 9 Cody, you come help a new guy (me) find a buck in 22 right now and I’ll program your radios for you! Kidding (sort of). Like the above person said, make sure you get your license first. Google “how to get GMRS license” Once you have the license, use MyGMRS.com to find nearby repeaters. What kind of radio did you get? Man If I had time I sure would come out and help! I’m headed south right now to scout and find a campsite for my hunt in a few weeks. I picked up 2 Tidradio TD-H3….nothing fancy. AZCoueser Report post Posted November 9 I’d recommend using the Chirp software. I checked and your radio is compatible. There are a lot of YT videos out there on how to use it. https://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Home

Always complaining about needing a license when it's just a radio. Always complaining when a guy with a spinner bait is catching more fish than them. Take some Viagra and watch your Taylor Swift vidoes . 1

I have no problem doing that…I’m not the sit at home and listen for the radio guy. I just can’t figure out how to program the radio to extend the range.
