Funny…ish. I know a lot of folks that are getting to wondering if they’ll die before they draw. Residents are supposed to have an edge. I understand NRs have a chance as does everyone in AZ, which I love. It was a hypothetical question..,  and I don’t play the lottery, other than the AZGF draw

heck yeah. At 15 too is awesome. We just got to 5B on my daughters first elk hunt. Hopefully she can get a nice trophy like that. If not it's still cool.

The idea that   you’ll go to your grave before drawing a sheep tag is depressing to me, thus dark. I lucked out in that my BIL convinced me to start applying in my early 30s when I really had no interest in hunting sheep. By the time I had an interest and time, I had a measly 15 bps. However, in 2008 GF dropped the online CC applications,  requiring people to once again send a check and have $$ in the game. Application numbers dropped by 50% and my lucky arse drew. My hunting buddy who’s 6 years younger is up to around 30 pts, and  incensed each year he doesn’t draw. I met a guy at Ben Avery who had a unit 12 tag, was in his mid 70s, and lamenting the fact he couldn’t have drawn when he was young enough and fit enough to do the tag justice. It is a limited resource for sure.

People don’t know how to work the draw to maximize their chances and it’s awesome.
