Coues 'n' Sheep

Boredom.....

Recommended Posts

Well I'm just flat bored!!! Nothing to hunt.... A few weeks till the antlers start to drop... ;) ...to much snow to look for last years coues sheds.... ...about 30 days of HE-(double toothpicks), waiting for the elk and speedgoat results.... <_<

...So what else to do but play with what bone ya got layin' around the house?? We just picked up our January euro's from Clay and have not figured out where the Boss wants them yet. So I just thought it was a good time to gather up all (or almost all) the coues skulls in the house for a group photo....  All but two are archery bucks and all of them have been taken in the last 6 years by Me, Colton, and Tina.

Hey Gino,

That is an awesome collection of bone right there!!! I tend to do a lot of calling as well this time of year. It's harder to be successful this late in the season, but it's usually the only time of the year that I have free weekends. I am guiding a couple of guys this weekend for predators and then the following weekend is the Antelope Eater hunt in Seligman.

Thanks! Here are a couple more.... these are old pick-ups that we have had for years. Although I have yet to find a monster pick-up head... I figure that it has to happen on of these years.... it is what gets me motivated to get out there each year.... hope. ;) ...and, yes those chalk white heads live right out there in my front yard for folks to see as they walk past....

Hey Gino I know those racks are pretty sentimental to you, but you could sell those whitiies pickups or even the brownies on ebay for several hundred bucks since the coues are indigenous to mexico ,az, and new mexico, heck you could even get enough dough for a mexico hunt.Just my thoughts.

That looks pretty cool to me good job!! The crappie are biting maybe u should go fishing one day?

 You mean actually USE that 22' Party Barge I make the payment on each month??? :o  That would be a great Idea... except i'm not much of a fisherman.... I'd have to find a proffesional to take me and show me how to catch'um... To me fishhing is: Rig up, Bait up, Cast, open an ice cold Beverage, and Wait..... when Beverage is gone repeat steps 2-5! ;)  That... to me, is Fishing!!!
