Campaign Signs

Recommended Posts

I went down to Safford, then on over to St. David, then back up through Tucson, to Gilbert and then home to Snowflake this weekend taking pumpkins to grandkids. It is always fun to see the different terrain,

The terrain that always puzzles me is you hit Show Low and there's a lot of Trump signs with a few Harris signs.

Globe, similar...........

Hit the reservation line and all the sudden 100 plus Harris signs and two Trump signs.

Edge of Pima all the sudden Trump.................

Benson, some Harris but mostly Trump

St. David Trump with one single Harris sign

Tucson.............Harris heavy but some Trump

Gilbert...................Mostly Trump with some Harris.

What is the dividing factor on those battle grounds.............it doesn't make sense to me why the definite switch from reservation to non reservation voters?

I want to know as a voter what I am missing????

Traditional Gov't hand outs and open check book vs fiscal planning, stand on your feet and top down economics (jobs are created by those that actually produce something)...?  Is that what you are getting at?

It's pretty common knowledge that reservations vote nearly 100% Democrat. Easy to understand when the democrats are the ones giving them all of the social programs and other handouts.

You'd think after voting Democrat forever and not being any better off than they were 50 years ago they'd switch it up. Most are happy just existing so they don't care.

Just like every major city with high impoverishment and crime rates (Chicago, la, NY, Atlanta, Minneapolis, etc etc) all have voted left for decades and all are living in shat - they just don't get it...

You can save some miles and look at this too

The other month while fishing in New Mexico I saw mostly Harris signs. Found it odd that in very rural areas they were pro Harris. Seems the opposite in Arizona.

New Mexico is strange about that, I know down in the boot heel...........pro Trump.......unless you get around the californians who have fled Kalifornia. I remember going over to Corona during Covid and 4th of July. Did some touring down around Ft. Stanton and was tickled pink as we drove through Capitan.......they had the streets line up for a parade, many mounted horses with guns on the side and the streets were lined with aniti mask protest................it was a very interesting display of small town standing up for their beliefs.

Soccorro..................don't even step in the gas station without a mask or you getting booted :)

Yeah I think it's easier for them to get the handouts.  I've known of jobs where contractors had to hire rez folks over no rez and it sounded like a nightmare from the contractors perspective.
