It started out this last oct. Having 4 tags at camp (son) kody 12 yrs. old drawing his second tag (dad) rick (step brother) steven and myself Kody had already filled his cow elk tag. MY dad had filled his oct. bull tag and steven was on his elk hunt when the coues hunt started (late nov.) Ok game plan I told my self That i would not start hunting till dad and kody filled their tags. OPening day kody gets sick had to bring him home had the flu (BUMMER) second day i glassed up 8 bucks best one being 92" dad agrees to take him We made a good stock he makes a one shot kill at 220 yds I stap him to the badlands and were gone . Day 3 my turn knowing steven was coming in on day 4 only gave me the one day for myself found a few small bucks tahat morning then around one o'clock I found a shooter their i go dang it he gives me the slip. day 4 steven and myself head out Steven had never hunted this unit before so the pressure was on to make a good showing at first light I catch some movement threw my 15's its a good buck steven decides to take him here we go . 20 yds. from where we are glassing was this skull. stevven made a 300 yrd shot nice 3x3 last day I get to squeeze the trigger at a 95" buck 480 yds buck down
