Water heater heat pump installer - Plumber recomendation?

Recommended Posts

My gas water heater is approaching retirement, and I'm considering having it replaced with a new style  heat pump water heater.

WIth SRP and Federal rebates (subject to energy star ratings and installation by "approved" people) the cost appears to be roughly on par with a regular gas heater.

Would appreciate any insight from anyone who has done this as well as a good plumber to do the work.

One caveat is that I'm unsure of the electrical requirement (breaker size etc.) which will likely need to be checked first.

Thanks in advance

I had someone come out and give me a quote, followed by another company who also gave a quote.

NFW - can't afford it and would never get any return on the "investment".  I know things have become more expensive, but dang!
