PRDATR Report post Posted October 9 Have you used them to shoot any game with them? How did they perform?
Couzer Report post Posted October 9 I lent my 300 rum to my buddy for a moose hunt last week with the 210 VLD and performed amazing. I have personally shot a bear, coues, and muley with the 210. Good luck on the sale, great round
the breeze Report post Posted October 9 (edited) yes, i’m shot game out to 700 yards with this bullet and it’s never failed. Even on a less than favorable shot, I’ve never lost an animal knock on wood with this round. The only reason I’m switching is the barrel shot out of the rum and I switched it out and made it a PRC , I went to a 9 1/2 twist and I’m shooting the 215 Grn vld. if you need some proof, I’ll send you some photos. the breeze Report post Posted October 9 I’ve built a PRC and I’m shooting a heavier bullet. I put a 9 1/2 twist to it on the PRC and it likes the 225 Grn vld The rum is a 10/1 twist and it likes those 210s I’m gonna repurpose the rum and give the rum barrel to a friend of mine because his is shot out so I don’t need the rum ammunition anymore I knew those guys were having a hard time and I figured I’d load up before the zombie apocalypse Anyway, I love the round. I just like that 225 a little bit more. I’ve never lost a single animal with 210 nor have, I had anything make it very far after impact it packs a whallop I’ve shot game with that round out to 700 yards and it doesn’t matter how far or how close if that bullet touches them they’re done
the breeze Report post Posted October 9 Nobody has it in stock. It’s sold out everywhere.
the breeze Report post Posted October 9 Not to say you can’t find it in another brand. It’s just this particular brand is out of business for whatever reason the hunting shack closed down.

MogollonMan Report post Posted October 9 VLDs fly great, but the jacket is too thin and they are trash on big game. You are asking over retail for ammo that looks old and who knows how it has been cared for.🤔
the breeze Report post Posted October 15 Price drop $4.00 a round For what it’s worth the ammunition was stored in a gun safe with humidity control at my house. Attached are some pictures of an elk I shot yesterday with a 215 Grn Berger vld spit out of a 300 PRC The only reason I’m selling the ammunition is I converted the rum to a PRC If anybody needs some pictures of more wild animals that succumbed to the vld let me know
