Western Washington Elk

Recommended Posts

For those who are familiar with W. Washington Elk..

Rifle hunt. 11/2-11/13. Lots of rain coming.

I'm hitting 638 and 663 - those are the closer units. I'm coming across tons of land that's owned by logging companies (I have a pass to walk, not drive ugh) on some of the roads- and most of the other stuff it is privately owned. I've even found elk on Capital Forest, only to have the road closed off the next week for 'falling trees'. I'm telling ya- if you want to know an area, walk it.

Also by Olympia- Unfortunately they're in backyards. I've hit Capital Forest, Col. Bob, (Yeah, good luck walking there) and a various other areas in those units and it's mind blowing how restricted they are.

Are there better units in W. Washington? Was thinking 672 might be a better option.

Actually , I’m good 😊

I’m in the right place. Hopefully there won’t be 14 days of rain.

Looking forward to getting this done. I took off 15 days for this..

Good luck Jazz.  Can't wait to hear about the hunt.

And 15 days?  I'm gonna have to have a talk with SS about that.  🤣

Eddie

The boss gets backstrap when I pull this off..
