Better off with - I shot 3 animals I couldn't recover and then killed one but didn't look for it for a day or two and found it but coyotes got to it first- good hunt! No joke !! The guy on the other side of the cattle gate hit 3 elk and nada. Even had a crossbow permit. My buddies were trying to help him recover one when they ran across the lion kill elk . Most of the guys I run across carrying a xbow or airbow have zero reasons to need one - just lazy or want that advantage to get those horns... Can't pull 80 anymore so need a crossbow..
