nateNAU Report post Posted September 4, 2024 About a month ago I picked up my dream spotting scope, a Leica apo televid 82 and have been enjoying glassing every morning. About 2 weeks ago I glassed up a bachelor heard of bucks in an out of the way spot and a big buck in the group caught my eye. He was a 180+ buck that is just uncommon in this area. Well after that day I never saw him again and switched my focus to dove hunting with my kids. This morning while walking a field looking for dove 2 1/2 miles from where is saw the buck originally he strolled from behind some cedars at about 80 yards. I guess I might have put the shotgun down and bring the bow out. 15

nateNAU Report post Posted September 5, 2024 I know this buck didn't get this big by making mistakes and is probably a nocturnal drinker but there is only one water source within a mile in any direction so I decided to sit it this morning. Could have plugged a rag horn at 7 yards but no sign of the big buck
