Thanks for all your input I appreciate it and I apologize if my question hijacked his post, I should have started a new one.

Fore sure BFG ain't what they used to be.

I love BFG's, but not on heavy trucks. We had them on diesels back in the day and they are no bueno. Ill likely go to that on the 1994 Toyota Im about to buy from my cousin. I have Discover ATP's on mine. The first ones were GARBAGE. I had 5 that had tread separation. The ATP II's seem to be much better.

If you end up buying at Discount they will price match.  However, they will not price match costco tire center unless you specifically tell them to.

My dodge is running  bfg ko2 on it and the jeep has the cooper  tires . I wanted  to see what lasts  longer and how quiet  the each are . The cummins  has been thru 3 sets of tires all about  30k on them or less from different  mfrs . I had Bridgestone  ,Michelin and Firestone  . At 460/480 a tire plus it gets expensive  fast .

I have 326K on my F-250 I bought new in 2000. I have had TOYO, quiet wear well. NITTO, more sticky than the TOYO but wore better. Have Wildpeaks for the last 4-5 years I bought as a set with rims from an Airmen who was stationed in Tucson and they are by far my favorite. Very quiet and are wearing better that anything I have run to date including Yokohama and BFG.

I took them to Discount and they balanced them and put them on my truck and for $25 a wheel gave me lifetime balance and road hazard. I have used the same Discount on Dobson and Main for 30 years. I had one tire replaced last year under warranty. I rotate them every 5K. I put a set of Coopers on my sons 2500 Got My Chevy (GMC) and he had no issues.

The Wild Peak MT are the tires I’m replacing. They just hit a wall all of the sudden. Rough ride, noisy, lot of vibration. Not sure what the issue is. Still 40-50% tread left too.

I'll 2nd the Falken Wildpeaks as a great tire, especially for a P rated (it does have an extra ply in the sidewall) tire.  It seems Falken has a WP A/T4W to replace the A/T3W model.

You might be able to save a few bucks if you can find a set of the 3Ws.  I'm on my 2nd set of those.

Good luck,

Eddie

If you live in QC or STV I'd go see the boys in Little Mexico at Skyline Tires. They will beat ANY price. Young brothers that are hungry for business. Go see Alex and Daniel. They don't have a dyno but I've never had a balance issue going there.

I got 4 37"x12.5 x20" Toyo Open County R/T OTD for $2,110!! I got 60,500 miles out of my last set.........
