I haven’t agreed with him on everything, but I have respected the heck out of him. We need more people like this in politics. I can definitely agree and respect that, but I cannot understand how someone can support her (if you align yourself with the right). If he thinks she is the best candidate, heck yeah I am good with him supporting her. It makes me want to puke when I see politicians roll over in order to toe the party line. I for one am glad to see someone being genuine, backlash be dammed. Make no mistake, his support of Harris will come at huge cost to him and his family. He was and is a Mesa community member way before a politician. Where he lives has long standing and deeply held conservative roots. There will be people who do everything they can to make him pay for this. I respect someone in the public light knowing this and choosing to speak out anyways. Don’t confuse that with me sharing those same political convictions.
