CJNAZ Report post Posted August 12 Been a couple of years since I was on the 300 road in Unit 4A. To my surprise the road has been paved Westbound starting at the turnoff to Woods Canyon Lake. Got mixed feelings about that. Headed North towards Chevelon Lake. As usual, people everywhere. My favorite Elk camp was absolutely destroyed with beer bottles/caps, kids toys & juice boxes, food waste, and worse of all, it was a serious biohazard because the occupants didn't "bury" a single piece of TP or sh!t. Sickening. How far West have they paved the 300? All the way to Bear Canyon Lake?

Happy Trails Report post Posted August 24 Camped off dye loop road for a week. Quiet Tue through Thur, then it was a circus for sure. Saw the same, no regard whatsoever. We packed out three bags off trash and put out fires in camps near us after the happy campers left. Smokey the Bear would be sad.
Roosevelt Mark Report post Posted August 24 I was told it's paved to the 34 road.
bigj23 Report post Posted August 26 It is paved 1/4 mile past the Bear Canyon turn off. Rode from Happy Jack to Young this weekend and back. It was non stop vehicles coming in Friday night at 9pm, all going to Bear Canyon. Two lane paved halfway through 4A. We couldn’t believe it when we hit the asphalt at Bear Canyon. Roosevelt Mark Report post Posted August 26 I remember when they paved the road to Bartlett, imo it ruined it, but we are double the population now also. Now paving Apache from Roosevelt to burnt corral, it will be ruined in less than 10 years. Will be lot's of wrecks on the new road with people trying to drive to fast etc.
