WHALE Report post Posted February 12, 2009 Left the house yesterday morning at about 8:30 and 23 degrees and headed for the desert and some warmth. I figured the pigs wouldn't be out and about to early with as cold as it was. I parked at the bottom of a big draw that I had seen pigs in 2 weeks prior. I hiked up one side and began glassing and 20 minutes later had five pigs working up the far end of the draw. Went back and got the truck and drove about two miles around the other end to get above them and have the wind in my favor. I eased down to where I had seen them when I heard one of them kick out and stop at 39 yards. Then another and another. The first four did the same thing but the fifth turned and tried to circle me to try and wind me. When he got to 20 yard a drew and the arrow hit its mark. My daughters thought it was pretty cool.
