Smith & Wesson J Frame. My wife had 1 in 38spl. She has wrist issues so we sold that 1 and bought her a 22 mag S&W j Frame.

I agree to a point. I see way too many carry revolvers that get neglected and won't function. Its easy to forget about if your wife is carrying it but they need to be cleaned even if they aren't being shot. If they get thrown in a purse all kinds of stuff can get in there and gunk things up. As far as being more simple to operate I 100% agree.

Dang so much good information. we are going to try and enroll in some of the shooting classes at The Hub up in Pine Top, we both have shot "guns" all our lives but pistols not as much and honestly not the same amount of training as we did with rifles.

According to the Hub information we will have access to used pistols there to try out, I believe simple is important as far as the pistol itself and practice, practice and more practice!!!

Thanks for the input

Whatever she decides to go with she needs to become familiar with to the point where it’s all natural.

I am a big fan of any hamerless pocket sized revolver in 38 special. I am a bigger fan of one chambered in 9mm.

Me and my wife had a situation a dozen years ago that tested both of our “keep it together when the crap hits the fan” levels and from that point on she hasn’t touched any of my semi autos. She has gotten really good with a 6” GP 100 357 loaded with 38s. Probably most of us guys could keep it together mentally in a heated situation but the little ladies? IDK I’m just glad my wife chose the revolver. She can always turn it into a hammer when empty!

I've seen many men that couldn't keep it together when an opportunity came at a monster buck.  Imagine the buck shooting back.

I might just resemble that remark sadly! As far as the monster bucks go! I’m that guy who would probably benefit from a danged tranquilizer before touching one off on a bomber buck! But for me that’s a different set of nerves!😂

This is my carry piece even when out in the hills.  Model 340PD.  Had a trigger job done,.

It's super light and compact while very manageable even when shooting .357 rounds.

I can't think of a better analogy.

The Smith & Wesson M&P 380 EZ is a semi auto that you can rack one into the chamber with ease, two fingers. I bought one for my wife came with a safety and a green Crimson Trace laser, factory installed. Nice gun!
