ClarkW Report post Posted May 6 Hi all. I've decided to buy an older 18' boat for the sole purpose of the opportunity to get the kids in the outdoors more and experience fun family memories. They are looking forward to catching some fish. It's a rec style boat but should do ok for fishing. What I'm hoping to get is some basic information on lakes to try (closest are probably Pleasant, Powell and Roosevelt but open to anywhere), general times of the year that are most successful and any tips as far as what features to target on lakes or general tips. Not looking for the tournament guy hot spot, just hoping to get the kids fishing and having some success helps. I'll be battling figuring out navigation with a boat and hope with a few suggestions I can get in the right type of spots for the fishing and have one less challenge ;). Thanks in advance.
