There are a lot of quail in the neighborhood.

Probably just let them go when they are big enough.

Two half grown  ones apparently snuck in the house yesterday when the wife left the door open.  The ongoing texts from her as she tried to herd them out, while being "helped" by our heeler that hates all birds, flying or running, along with our new young lab that didn't know what to do, had me very entertained while at work. The heeler caught and killed one, the other is still at large as of today. I'm surprised the house is still standing.  I've been anxiously awaiting the sequel to yesterday....

Noticed some itty bitty quail yesterday in the neighbors yard, and watching a couple adults with 7 little guys going through my grass right now.   My heeler busted up a covey last night trying to get  a last minute snack in the yard as well. I don’t recall a hatch this late in the summer before.  October should be fun!

when I lived near south mountain we had lots of Sonoran iguana's .  Some close to 18" they were fun to see and watch.  But they would eat a whole nest of eggs with no problem.
