Ed67 Report post Posted April 29, 2024 I usually hit Alamo once every spring and figured this morning was a good time to go after hearing good reports. Loaded up late and drive out about 10am. I’m definitely not a big time fisherman but have gone regularly since my teens. I’m 56 now. I backed my dads hand me down 14’ Mirrocraft into the water and immediately noticed a leak near the stern where a rivet was missing. No biggie, I always carry JB Weld. Pulled up out of the water, dried it then inserted a small screw with the JB Weld. Gave it about an hour then headed back down. Got in the water, no leak, and fired up my 8HP Yamaha 4 stroke and immediately noticed it wasn’t pumping out water. Shut it off. Oh well I’ll just use the trolling motor and cruise around near shore/ramp area to pick up a few bass. Started to hook up the motor and oopsie, the positive side alligator clip was missing. Limped back to shore and went home lol. It’s all on me, bad preparation. Maybe next year 😮
