luvdemcoues Report post Posted February 2, 2009 Cade, beautiful bucks. Thanks for sharing. Jay called me about The Claw. Definately gonna get one of those. Were you down there with him? I grew up with his family. Josh
The Claw Report post Posted February 2, 2009 Josh, I was not on the ranch Jay went down on, although as you know it's a good one. Jay was just guiding this year and they did kill some whoppers again. Dan, Thanks but he pails in comparison to your buck. We never made it onto the ranch you shot your buck on. We found some hot does and never left but I was itching to go over there. Liked the look of it. Just not a lot of deer, eh?

30-378shtr Report post Posted February 2, 2009 Congrats! I am jealous to say the least. Now, I'm wishing I would've taken out that loan to go on the hunt. Hindsight is 20/20. I guess there is always next year. The pics of those bucks don't even do them justice. Holding them in your hands gives you a whole different perspective. wow. Hunting6 Report post Posted February 2, 2009 Cade, Congratulations again on taking an extremely rare deer. Can't wait to see him in my hands. You are the type of guy who's determination and skill end up reaping great rewards time and again. I'd say it is time to do a life size eh???? Mike
Hunterdan Report post Posted February 3, 2009 Dan, Thanks but he pails in comparison to your buck. We never made it onto the ranch you shot your buck on. We found some hot does and never left but I was itching to go over there. Liked the look of it. Just not a lot of deer, eh? That is a understatement. It wears on you and is tough to endure when you are only seeing 2-3 deer per day but it keeps you going knowing the potential that is out there and what has been taken in the past. We hunted the side you where on most of the time and it is neat country. I liked it the best. Taking the two good bucks that you did is huge success. And that find with the locked horns is way awesome. Congrats again.
The Claw Report post Posted February 4, 2009 Mike, I appreciate your kind words but you are the toad thumper! You all know what Mike killed this year right. Probably the biggest typical taken this year. What a freak. I can't wait to see him and you can't hold my buck up against your buck!
