Butts Report post Posted January 30, 2009 Hello - Young fella here. Been to AZ 2X long ago when I did the Bud-Light Trathlon racing series. Went to Phoenix, swam in a subdivision if you can believe that. Now I am into archery and love the stick and string, hunting and target competition. I try to give back when I am able, currently I am the secretary for CTAS (Colorado Traditional Archery Society). Found this sight via a friend with the state Colorado Bowhunters Assoc.. "jabbering on aren't I". I am having a bugger of time finding out the cost of licenses, how long it will take my son and I to get a tag etc.. My daughter is getting married soon and this could easily become a family thing (traveling to AZ)as even though I live in Colorado I can only handle the cold if I am on snowshoes or X-country ski's. Spent considerable time on your states DOW site but ......... Notice I did not ask you where to go huntin 8^).................................yet
Red Rabbit Report post Posted January 30, 2009 Welcome recurve shooter. The license and tag fees are on page 12 of the hunting regs in the folowing pdf http://www.azgfd.gov/pdfs/h_f/regulations/08-09/08-09.pdf Archery deer is still over the counter for most units. Archery elk, antelope is a draw. Apps for elk an antelope are to be received in the mail by Feb 10, so just a little time left to apply for this years elk and antelope hunts. http://www.azgfd.gov/eservices/documents/2...pe_WEBFINAL.pdf Our TAA, Traditional Archers of Arizona, is pretty much defunct at the moment. ABA is active. http://www.arizonabowhunters.org/ Doug~RR

Butts Report post Posted February 15, 2009 Hello, Received my "How to Hunt Coues Deer" from this site last evening, great read so far (love to read). RedRabbit told me where to go on the AZFG site for more information. Printed out the critical page from the AZFG site in the area I wished to look at and at the same time was looking at the book. Low and behold AZFG must have read it also as they were exactly in line with Adams and Mandile on where I should go. I feel lucky already
