You can do an NFA trust without having to to go through the fingerprinting, pitures, etc. for beneficiaries, co-trustees, etc. It isn't that complicated and is a relatively cheap and easy process. Current nfa trusts requires each trustee to have pictures and fingerprints per the atf rule change . The only way around it is the single or the silencer central type trust any time you add to the trust each member of the trust must go through the background checks . The old rules didn't require any of this .
Viper Report post Posted May 10 My package tracking shows "delivered" to Healy's. I guess I have patience and wait for them to contact me?

They get a lot of shipments in daily. Wait for them to call you. I did a transfer and saw it was delivered and went in later that afternoon and they weren't happy at all about me just showing up.

The old rules didn't require any of this . Not exactly. I am sure I will butcher this explaination, but there is a "loophole" (for lack of a better term) with regrads to co-trustees. When creating the NFA trust and purchasing the supressor, you want to make certain that you are the only individual listed on the trust as settlor or trustee (no co-trustees). It is fine to have beneficiciaries on there, they don't necessitate all the background stuff. Then you purchase the supressor. Once the supressor is approved and in your posession, you can do a simple addendum (simple one page document) and add co-trustees to trust after the fact. You do not have to submit fingerprints, photos, etc. to add co-trustees at this time. This new addendum must remain on hand with the trust. Should you purchase a second, third, fourth, etc. supressor down the road, you destroy that addendum, once again making you the sole trustee. Once the supressor is in your position, create a new addendum to add your co-trustees and place that new addendum in with your trust documents. I'll include a link to NFA Lawyers that explains this better than I could. They are a well known law firm that created my trust and the trusts of many others. In their package they include everything needed, addemdums for changes, etc. for the one time fee. I higly recommend this option. When I set mine up though them several years ago, it cost somewhere around $75-$100. Not certain of the current price. https://nfalawyers.com/how-to-make-changes-to-an-nfa-lawyers-gun-trust/ The addendum is something as simple as this:

briant_az Report post Posted May 15 Has anyone tried to contact this company by phone or through their website? I’d like to order one but the ffl that I want to use isn’t showing up on the list. I have all of his FFL/SOT info but can’t figure out how to get it to them.

I left them a message a couple days ago but never got a response. I finally just picked someone else to have it shipped to. I know suppressors sales are crazy right now and everyone is busy. Lucafu1 Report post Posted May 18 I will get a suppressor once they make them legal and free (no tax stamp). Until then I'll just keep looking. Good deal (w/o all the B.S.).
Schmitty Report post Posted May 18 I finally broke down and ordered my first suppressors. I ordered two of the SiCo Harverster Evo's from Freedom Weapon's on 4/18. They shipped on 5/10 and landed at my FFL on 5/14. I submitted my Form 4's along with the King's Ransom for both cans on Wednesday 5/15 and received an email this morning @ 4:19 approving 1 of the 2 cans. I just got back from picking it up and have been twisting it onto a few different rifles for grins. I only have 1 20" barreled rifle and more than a few 26" barrels that are threaded. I just threw the can on a 26" heavy barreled 22 creedmoor and it is LONG! I don't think that I'll chop any of the long barrels, but I did order up a 19" 22 creed tube (heavy sporter) to throw on a spare Tikka. It's a couple of months out, but should be alot of fun. It probably won't be my last short tube... I'll try and get out later today to see if all of this Suppressor hype is worth it! $400 per can seemed like a great deal but adding in the stamp and local transfer fee put me out @ $700/each. It definitely hurt paying an extra $600 for bureaucratic nonsense. There is definitely a weight and length penalty but after ringing my and a good buddy's ears on a hog shoot in TX last month I was told that I'm not allowed to bring my rifles until I muffle my muzzles. Pretty strong motivation right there.... Here is hoping the juice is worth the squeeze! Schmitty

I'm still waiting for the atf on my two Evo and the omega but my other two are great especially if you run subsonic ammo. I put together a 300blk just for hogs and to run suppressed. Watched a javalina stand there after I shot his buddy at 10 feet . Didn't know where it was coming from.
