azrcks Report post Posted January 29, 2009 OK, so here is what I got. Savage 116 300 RUM. A Boyd stock bedded and added a dowel to hold it together, muzzle break with a limb saver pad, and a reworked 2.5 lb trigger. Currently I robbed my 4-16x42 Monarch off another rifle just to go out and shoot. I am getting ready to buy the 5-20x44 or 6-24x50 Monarch for it, I just love those scopres. I bought the Rem Power Level 3 Scirocco 180 gr to see what the "punch" would be and pleasantly surprised that thr recoil was like shooting my .06. I have bought a stock pile of brass, dies and Berger VDL 175 grainers, should be fun. On another note I have access to a complete machine shop so in a few hours today I built me one of those "gun claw" . Seems be work sweet can't wait to give it a try soon. 300 RUM compared to my 30-06 the rifle the rifle with my own version of "the claw" Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I think I got a good deal, I worked for Tucson Taxidermy for 7 years, so the I traded $250 and two coues deer mounts. So can't tell you what the actual value is.
