cpugsie Report post Posted January 28, 2009 When ever time permits we will be out there again! Vin had a great time just plinking. Good shot for his first time shooting. The stock is still a bit long for him. I think I'll cut it down for him!!! Just kidding! I purchased this 10/22 at Kmart about 15 years ago. I wasn't even looking to purchase a gun that day but the stock caught my eye on this display model. I told the old lady behind the counter that I wanted to purchase that gun. She said she had to get one from the back of the store and before I could say anything else she took off to the back. When she came out all she had was an empty box and said there were none left in the back and she would have to sell me the display model. Sound good to me I'm thinking. Then she goes back to the back of the store and comes out after about 10 minutes and says she can't sell the gun because there is no clip with it. Well, at this point I've decided I'm not leaving the store without this rifle. I ask her if she has any clips for sale. She says yes but she can't just put one in the box. So I purchase a clip for 8 bucks or so and give it to her to put in the box. She finally decides she can sell it to me. I even went back later in the week to get a few bucks back cause it went on sale two days later. $129.00. I wrote Ruger and told them my gun didn't have a clip and they sent a new one. I just gave the gun to my son last year. I'm not sure he knows what he has there quite yet. I'm actually thinking of getting another stock for it until he can take care of it a little better. Thanks for the compliments!!!

Red Rabbit Report post Posted January 30, 2009 Carl, You better get one of those EZ Loaders before your thumb gets sore . He will have the mag emptied before you can load the other. Tis fun to make golfballs and spent shotshells dance. Doug~RR
