azrcks Report post Posted January 26, 2009 Since I did not judge him well at 580 yards, I decided to just do an antler mount. I have access to a waterjet cutter so I designed this and used some "hair off" javelina skin on the skull cap.
Coues Sniper Report post Posted January 26, 2009 That's pretty freaking cool. You could make and sell those pretty easily if you wanted I bet.
Mr. Jonathan Report post Posted January 27, 2009 That is really awesome. How much would it cost a guy to get some of those done? Can the shapes be custom or do they need to be preselected from a list?

I will PM you, the design can be ANYTHING you can dream up! We are doing another mount of a boe kill where he wanted a muzzy broadhead shape, I post a pick but is not done yet. CouesWhitetail Report post Posted February 1, 2009 That is very cool. Perhaps we need to figure a way to add your product to the CW store so more members can get a design of their choosing. Amanda

Amanda thanks, here is the other broadhead design, BTW that is "hair off" javelina skin on the other mount. Like I said before the broad head mount is not complete yet, a different set of antlers are going on that. The ones in the pic will be on a shoulder mount that I am doing. As far as the writing I can do anything and shape.

lfootmatt Report post Posted February 1, 2009 I have 2 nice European (bug boxed) Coues mounts and I need something to hang them. Tarnished copper would look pretty sweet and have a bit of the SW feel to it. Could you do that? Later, Matt

My dad has experimented with copper patina (if I spelled that right?) I will do a sample and post it up.

Coach Report post Posted February 2, 2009 I like it! I have a euro mount that I was gonna do with some heavy manzanita. What kinda cost would be involved in something like that? And the copper sounds cool too. Food for thought, I found an old mule shoe just feet away from where my buck fell - would like to somehow incorporate that in the plate. What are the dimensions of the AZ plate pictured above? Thanks! Matt
azrcks Report post Posted February 2, 2009 I will be talking to Amanda and get these kits added to the store and then we can discuss specifics, thanks for your comments. BTW I can also do the same designs or new ones out of stone like flagstone....just another thought!
