thegunsmith2506 Report post Posted March 1 My son has his first elk tag this year and I need to get him a rifle. He shot a sig last week and liked it. I would prefer a .308 and camo but would consider other options. If anyone has one they want to sell let me know.
azpatrick93 Report post Posted March 2 I have an sig cross in 6.5 creedmoor it has a helix 6 18” carbon barrel 5/8x24 threaded and a vortex diamondback tactical 4-16x44 ffp moa on it weighs 8.5lbs roughly scoped 5 rd mag. I have it listed for 2k with everything but I’m negotiable if it helps get a kid out hunting. Has less than 100 rounds down the barrel.

Really wanted a .308 but this is very tempting
Savageman2506 Report post Posted March 3 They've got one at the Sportsman's. 308 with the 16" barrel.
sjvcon Report post Posted March 3 At 500 yds, a Creedmoor has almost as much energy with a much lighter bullet, flatter trajectory, and less recoil. Gets even more in the Creedmoor's favor at longer range. At least for most factory loads.
geologger Report post Posted March 3 Lighter bullets and elk don’t always go well together.
