I don't shoot it a lot and was using some of his hand-cast maxi balls which, in this gun, are slightly less accurate than a patch and ball believe it or not. I was keeping it under 30 yards to be safe. I think with modern bullets and Pyrodex pellets you could get out to 70 and beyond with some practice.
