stalkincoues Report post Posted January 24, 2009 The biggest cutting diameter you can find! I use the Vortex 2 1/2" expandables. Use a turkey stopper too if you can, this will help slow the arrow and keep it in him leading to a higher recovery rate. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

tjhunt2 Report post Posted January 24, 2009 I'm not on the mechanical band wagon but they can't be beat for turkeys. Any mechanical broadhead that will shoot well out of your bow will do a much better job than a fixed head. They claim a slower shooting bow is much better than hitting them with a fast shooting bow. stalkincoues Report post Posted January 25, 2009 Does the turkey stopper do anything to the accuracy of the arrow? I have not noticed any accuracy difference with my bow well tuned. Hopefully there was no confusion, when I said slow the arrow, I meant slow the arrow upon impact not during the flight of the arrow.
