Flu Flu's

Recommended Posts

So I'm becoming a pretty big fan of the this show Arrow Affliction and the host is always shooting flu flu's with his compound. I like the idea that they slow down a lot quicker and it would seem that you could find your arrow a lot easier. Anyone have any experience with them?

I have never personally used them, but know guys who do. I have only ever seen them used with traditional equipment, i.e. recurves and long bows. Mostly seen them used when trying to hunt birds or anytime you don't want the arrow to travel very far. Usually about 20 yards they hold there normal speed then take a nose dive.

I do and they are an absolute blast!!!!! Big old bright feathers with a judo tip and a turkey stopper are killers!!!! I have blead rabbits dry with this combonation. They are awsome for shooting at squirrels in trees, rabbits, or anything else. They loose speed after about thiry yards and have to compensate pin wise but I very rarely loose them when shooting this combination. I use to always have one in my quiver just incase. I reccomend using the toughest arrow you can find since it will be your abuse arrow. Maybe a 7595 or an Easton Axis. Be carful though..... you'll be hooked for sure. When camping we'd take frisbees and have an ariel contest. They only fly 150 yards at a steep angle. Have fun and make some up.

I use to shoot them all the time too, frisbees and birds in the back yard or squirrels in the woods, lots of fun! Funny thing is I was just at Cabela's tonight and saw a batch of em' for sale, made me remember the good ol' days messin' around! JIM>
