AzHuntAtty Report post Posted January 21, 2009 I have 11 bonus points this year and am trying to decide which elk unit to put in for. One of the units I am considering is 23 south. If last year's numbers hold true, I am competitive to draw a 23 south archery tag. I have not spent a lot of time in the unit lately and was wondering what the quality is like? I realize that nearly every unit is Arizona is capable of producing quality bulls, I am looking for any thoughts on the general trend of the unit. Thanks
elkaholic Report post Posted January 21, 2009 hello - If you are talking about the posted - draw/harvest no.s , put in the G$F regulations about last yrs. elk numbers-- don't believe everyhting you read -- Please ! It's far from accurate! Pick an area that your familiar with - you'll probably have a better time hunting than trying to locate a few elk in an area with limited opurtunities! But hey - this is just my opinion! I wouldn't waste 11 points on an area i know nothing about !! Gary

IMO.
