Young Report post Posted January 14, 2009 Went out camping this weekend with my pops and scored on a javalina. I glassed up 2 herds on on friday morning at about 9:00. My first stalk didn't go as planed and I got busted by the herd so I backed out. Didn't want to spook them into the next county in hopes of seeing them later in the day. I then glassed up the next herd about 15 min later and my second stalk was on. This time it went as planed as I connected with this young sow at 31 yards. The shot placement was a little far back as I cliped a limb I didn't see and had to finish her off with a head shot (only shot I had) about 80 yards later. Pops also had some shots later in the weekend but could not connect. We also saw some good mulie bucks over the wekend and so did the other 30 hunters that were on every ridge for miles in all directions. All in all we had a good little trip and it was nice to be out in the outdoors once again!
