coues7 Report post Posted February 5, 2009 With a 300RUM you will be taking long shots (I assume).....get a high power GOOD quality scope. High power being 50mm-56mm objective. I have a custom built 300WM with a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x56 NPR2 scope on that rifle. AWESOME is an understatement. I also have a semi-custom 308 Win. This rifle has a Leupold Mark IV 4.5-14.5x50mm scope on it.....again a good choice. With a nice long range rifle don't cut yourself short with a cheap scope! I know a few guys with the Bushnell Elite scopes.....to me the field of view is hard to find when the power is cranked up....my only dislike about those scopes.
