Coues Archer Report post Posted January 12, 2009 I have been doing a little research on these two products but don't know what to get or whats better I like the way the FOB's are but dont know if they are a hastle too put on. Dodgerboy999 Report post Posted January 12, 2009 fobs are the easier to deal with than putting your pants on in the morning. Plus the advantage to a fob is when you take a distance shot in some cover and have a pass through all you have to do is pick up your fob that serves as a marker and start blood trailing. fobs you have to have a drop away rest and have your local bow tech or yourself just time the launcher so the fob clears it plus when you buy them you get a clearance tester. firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted January 12, 2009 Two things I do not like about FOB's: One: You can not shoot for groups, as they break easily. Two: The impose on your lip when you anchor. A lot of people say you get used to them, but I didnt and they slightly altered my shooting form (which is bad enough!) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Dodgerboy999 Report post Posted January 12, 2009 Those are good points as far as the anchor point thing It just serves as a kisser button for me. group thing well the way I look at it they make targets today with multiple shooting spots so by shooting at a different dot every time it makes you focus that much more on each shot. where as 5 arrow group you may have 3 touching and 2 flyers and become complacent with that. tfdpm126 Report post Posted January 12, 2009 I have been shooting fobs for about a year and think they are great. For one,its saves the hastle of gluing fletches. You just open the pack and pop them on your arrows and your good to go. They have worked great at stabilizing my fixed blade broadheads at far distances, and are a great marker for where to start looking for blood. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted January 12, 2009 Mike, from my understanding the noise is directed towards the shooter (back) but is not loud in the front and/or side. Coues Archer Report post Posted January 12, 2009 sounds like these things work but do have to glue in your nock every time it falls off. Or you dont have too glue it period if so great. Not sure if you have yet or not but you need to go to there site and watch the videos.There videos and web site should help you out. You do not glue them at all the knock holds them on. Red Rabbit Report post Posted January 12, 2009 I got to talk with Paul a while on my Dec coues hunt last year after he shot his buck. He gave me some FOBs to try. My broadhead groups tend to be slightly tighter. Using a longer nock can help reduce the face contact, as would shortening the draw/anchor spot from behind the ear or neck.
