Chef Report post Posted October 30, 2023 I want to add my experience with deer and overgrown hooves. In my case it was a muley buck that was harvested in the desert units that border farmland. (alfalfa) The buck killed had all of his hooves overgrown and they, along with his antlers, had a greenish tint to them. The conclusion was he lived life high-on-the-hog sleeping along the salt cedars that bordered the fields.
