firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted January 7, 2009 Before doing that, I would suggest shooting either light hand loads, or the reduced recoil loads that Remington offers. Chances are, with the extreme noise if she shoots it one time with out her ear plugs in all the way, or in the field completely with out them she will not want to shoot that gun again! SO I HUNT Report post Posted January 8, 2009 I agree and maybe using a limb saver recoil pad might be another option with lighter hand loads if not I can help point you in the right direction? pm me if needed
Chef Report post Posted January 8, 2009 My buddy had one installed on his rifle at the gunsmith at Usery Range in Mesa. One of the cleanest jobs I've seen. He can swap out the brake for a thread protector too for hunting situations. He seems to like it a lot. Again, you can't even see where the brake starts on the stainless barrel.
