hello -- Ok Adam great job - or should I say finishing the job!- Now the question on everyone's mind !-- Why did'nt we see any pictures of the placement of the first arrow?? I for one was hoping for some kind of follow up on that first shot !! Might help to explain what you thought was a good hit ---Gary

Great job sticking with it Adam. Regardless of whatever else was said here, you did the right thing by A) coming to a forum like this for help, and B) keeping up the faith and continuing to look until you found him. You did a great job, and I'm very glad you found your buck.

Once he was on the ground, what could you determine about the first hit?

OK to let you guys all know about the 1st shot it was a little higher then i though. it just glanes one lung, like it was a hair cut on the lung. the broadhead did not open!!! and the entery hole was the size of my arrow. this deer would have died sooner or later. but im happy i made it sooner!!! lol sorry i didnt take any pic's of the 1st shot i was so excited and just forgot all about what happen 4 days ago.Im greatfull we found this deer. he not to bad for my 1st deer ever. he scored right at 90.

Congratulations Adam on the great buck! I have read this forum for years and never wanted to get involved in the high school drama that incures. You will see the ones that will support you and help you. The ones that act like they were in your back pocket knowing everything that was involved at the time. The grass and twigs in front of your bedded deer the wind and the angle of the shot. I finally signed up because of the last grilling they wanted to give to a fellow hunter that has been hunting his spots throughout arizona his whole life but wanted a little help in a new unit. Do they offer help of course not they just want to tell him what he did wrong and bust out thier Professional Ethics badge. Coues N Sheep I think you are a stand up guy and always offering support. Anywase congratulation Adam and now get ready for all the support because now your so called unethical shot has turned into a congratulations on the shot man. HAHA

You absolutely deserve that buck. I guarantee you most people would not have stayed with it as long as you did, excellent lesson to so many. Glad to see your diligence rewarded.
