whiteeye Report post Posted September 5, 2023 This is a Thompson Center Venture Weathershield chambered in 6.5 CM. This is a notable upgrade from the current Compass model. The gun has the Weathershield coating and 5R Rifling, among other upgrades. It is a very consistently accurate gun, it will shoot is sub 1 MOA 5 shot group @ 100 yards all day long. (It especially likes Hornaday 140g Factory ELDM loads.) I've killed two deer with this gun, was at 250 yards and the other at 425. The gun is in excellent shape 9/10. Here is an article on the gun. Note his comment about the excellent accuracy. https://www.rifleshootermag.com/editorial/thompson-center-venture-ii-boltaction-rifle-review/378816 Specs: Barrel Length: 22" Length of Pull: 13 5" Twist: 1:8" Capacity: 3 Overall Length: 42" Features: Weather Shield® exterior finish HOGUE® OVERMOLDED® panel stock Recoil pad Button-rifled barrel, 5R rifling 2 position safety Three-lug 60 degree lift bolt Generation II trigger 3-4 lb Weaver-style scope bases Sling swivel studs 3-Round detachable box mag. I am selling it because I have switched to a different caliber and no longer use this one and it was just sitting in the safe. Local Phoenix area pickup only.
