257stw Report post Posted January 26, 2005 I feel for what you guys in Arizona are up against. When Taulman hit New Mexico hard a number of years ago, he sent letters to all the landowners in the Gila, offering them a flat $3000 for their tags. Many of the outfitters lost the tags they had been buyin for years. Luckily our landowners were more comfortable with someone they knew, than with a few hundred more$$, others were not so lucky. Taulman is evil and has the money. It sounds like he is spearheading this whole process in Az. We have the landowner tags here, but the landowner ONLY controld his private, not the lease lands or BLM, unless they are locked by the private.
