Crazymonkey Report post Posted July 9, 2023 OK not being a shot gun guy I'm looking for some info. I've got a winchester 101 from 1967- 1968 best I can tell . The gun is near flawless . One small bump in the receiver stock. I do believe it's in its original case and I do have all the original papers I think it came with . It is a 3 barrel set with all numbers matching. Story I got from my dad goes like this. The gun was bought from a guy that bought a old gun store building and it was found inside as new in the rafters. Dad says he shot 25 or 50 rounds outa the o/u barrel and I've shot just 25 . The others are supposed to be unfired . The barrels are 32 inches each with one o/u and two single shot barrels . Looking for a value on the set. Thanks

forepaw Report post Posted July 10, 2023 You really need to have that appraised by someone who knows shotguns, especially trap guns. Win. 101s are VERY good shotguns. I am guessing somewhere around $6k. Take it to a club with an established membership, and BOLO for low-ballers. This, and blue book of gun values (any gun show) will give a starting point. That is an heirloom right there.

L Cazador Report post Posted July 10, 2023 Are all the barrels 12 guage? I'm assuming the two single barrels are different chokes. Probably full and modified chokes. Check for choke restriction markings. This info is very important to value. Also check manufacturing origin. Belgium made guns are the most valuable.

All are 12 gauge and made in 67 or 68 is olin in japan . Will look for choke size when I get home . I was under the impression the earlier Japanese guns were more sought after and the Belgium were not truly Belgium but Portuguese . Again I'm no shotgun expert. L Cazador Report post Posted July 10, 2023 Your gun was made in 1969 per Blue Book of guns serialization. Made from 1967-1971. It's a single barrel Trap with an extra O/U barrel and an extra single. Belgium guns were the more ornate Pigeon grades and have much higher value.
