trophyhntr Report post Posted January 25, 2005 WOW! Wow! Do you guys have those big deer tried up just for yourselves. Kidding. How many days on average do you and your brother spent hunting during the rut. You guys must put in your time in some good areas. Good luck to you for the rest of the season. Hopefully, you'll get one in january like last year.

bigmo101 Report post Posted January 28, 2005 Well I hunt spot and stalk, and that deer right there makes me want to have the patience to stay in a stand. A friend of mine told me that a stand is the way to hunt the big bucks. Congrats!!
standman Report post Posted January 29, 2005 Hey, my brother and I thank you for all your congrats. Sorry I didn't respond sooner I've been out of town working and I didn't have access to a computer. trophyhntr, we spent around 12 days hunting them this year. We do lots of walking to find the perfect setup. Happened to work out good this time. Arizonabowhunter, The shot was 25 yards, and we set our treestands about 12-15ft high. Doesn't look like I'm going to get down there this weekend. Down where we hunt it had way to much rain. We can't get to our spots because it will be way too muddy. AZOnecam, yeah Mark was a little jealous when I showed him the buck. He still cussing himself over the big one he missed. Anyway thanks again. Brian
