Don't recall running across it anywhere and that flower should sure stick out. I don't know the entire range of the plant, but I know in AZ it likes dry, rocky hillsides that are from 3,000 to 5,000 feet. The ones I photographed above were along the road up mtn lemmon, somewhere around molino basin. But this plant is very easy to overlook. It's fairly non-descript until it flowers and it only flowers for a short time. The plant occurs in many of the sky islands also. Amanda Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
