Coach Report post Posted December 14, 2008 While I'm totally jealous of anybody who has a late December tag, I kinda feel bad for any of you guys out camping in this stuff. It's blowing like crazy here in Lakeside and starting to snow and they are expecting FEET of snow - I've heard rumors of anywhere from 3 to 8. You guys be careful out there. It's supposed to last through Thursday, but once this thing blows through it could be some of the best rut hunting in years. Good Luck, and God bless, Jason
Red Rabbit Report post Posted December 14, 2008 We sure could use the moisture and snowpack. Only received about 1.7" of the white stuff last night here in Kachina south of Flagstaff . I think we did get several feet of wind though . RR
daryl_s Report post Posted December 14, 2008 Yesterday was the first day I was able to get out for my hunt and it was soooo windy. I was able to pick up four does in an area that was secluded from the wind but that was it. I'm looking forwarded to hunting the week of Christmas.

CouesWhitetail Report post Posted December 14, 2008 3 feet of wind....that's funny Doug!! We had about 100 feet of wind up here. Thought my house would be gone by morning! Decent amount of rain too. I was thinking how I was glad I wasn't backpacked out in my bivy sack on some cactus covered slope last night!! Sometimes I love being INSIDE! Amanda
lucky2hunt Report post Posted December 14, 2008 Yesterday sitting 6 hours in my Double Bull thinking "gee it's not so bad inside here"...Big gust of wind, breaks the 2 branches blind is tied down to, pulls up stakes, blind knocks me in my head, bow falls to ground, blind on it's way down to the bottom of a canyon before a tree stops it's decent! Okay, time to give up!
