kdog Report post Posted December 13, 2008 Well it was a good fall this year. Being able to hunt 3 different species this year was awesome, especially since I didn't get drawn for anything last fall. I started with my Unit 1 turkey tag the beginning of October and was able to connnect with this tom on the 2nd day. Then, towards the end of October in the 1st general coues hunt for Unit 33, I was able to take this buck at approx 280yds on the 2nd day. Following this hunt, I had my Unit 22 north bull tag that started the day after Thanksgiving, and was able to hit this bull at approx 400yrds on the 4th day. It was a great time with family and friends, and I was able to meet several other CWT members along the way. I love hunting in this state!

cmc Report post Posted December 14, 2008 This is a pretty good accomplishment and all fine animals. Nice bull, bird and buck. I had a streak going with taking a javelina, antelope and a bear all with my bow this year. Trying to wrap up the season with a buck and lion. I'd be happy with a buck, I'd faint if I tag a lion with my bow. For a few years going I had shot a javelina with a pistol, an elk with a bow and a deer with a rifle each year. Fun times. Again that's quite the task taking all three. Well done. cmc

kdog Report post Posted December 16, 2008 Not done for a while. I've got spring javelina and turkey tags, and am thinking about bowhunting for coues in January. Until the end of the year, it's dove and quail. I was lucky enough to take this big boar in 37B in Jan 2008 with my bow, and hope to be able to get another next year in 33. Can't wait to get that otc junior spring turkey tag for my 11 y/o so we can hunt side by side, and he can possibly take his 1st big animal. I can't get enough of this hunting thing, and am thankful I've got a wife who supports me in my passion.

Justin It was great to meet you too Justin. You should talk Kevin in to smiling more in his photos -Jeremy- Man...I have been telling Kevin that for years! Every picture I've taken of that joker over the years is with the same smirk on his face. At least it's not as bad as Christians (azcouesandelk)! Just kidding man...I wish I was half the hunter you are! Jeremy, it was great to meet you as well. Thanks again for all the help. I'll get my elk pictures up soon.
